Internet Contest Winner from Sedona
Martinsburg, WV – Before the Internet, it is highly unlikely that a retired person in Sedona, Arizona would win a contest sponsored by a metal fabrication company in Martinsburg, West Virginia. But that is exactly what happened recently without it costing the company an arm and a leg for national promotional benefits.
To celebrate its 15th anniversary and draw attention to the company’s expanded custom metal design and fabrication services, Air-Row Sheet Metal Company, Inc. sponsored a contest on its website. To qualify, contestants had to take a quiz about Air-Row and find the answers scattered throughout the website. The incentive was a drawing among entrants for a cruise for two or cash equivalent.
To the company’s surprise, close to 1,000 people from around the world participated in the contest. The Grand Winner of the Grand Prize was Robert McGuiness, a recently retired career purchasing agent residing in Sedona, Arizona. For 40 years McGuiness had served as purchasing agents for international oil companies and was always looking for competent companies to provide services. Thus, just before retiring he happened upon the Air-Row site and contest.
States McGuiness, “ I am very pleased to win the Air-Row Sheet Metal contest. I have recently retired and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sedona, AZ every day. Winning this contest was a great start to retirement. “
Air-Row Sheet Metal Company provides heating and air conditioning design and installation as well as custom metal design, fabrication and installation services to commercial, industrial, government and residential customers in the Mid-Atlantic region – including Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia. The family-owned business is managed by founders, Dale Householder, president, and his son Eric Householder, vice president.
Observes Eric Householder, “We were amazed by the level of participation from business people, both from within our primary market and throughout the U.S. and beyond. The Internet truly can link a business to the world and do this very reasonably. To get this kind of international results and visibility using mailings and non-Net advertising, we would have had to spend a mint.”
More information on the contest may be viewed on Air-Row’s website at www.airrowsheetmetal.com.

Having recently retired in Sedona, Arizona, Robert McGuiness plans to enjoy his contest winnings from an Internet contest sponsored by Air-Row Sheet Metal Company, Inc. located in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
